Yeah, these are extremely potent drugs. I wouldn't take it again, but the high doses make wonders if you are one of the luckier ones and don't experience the adverse reaction right in the initial stages.

Yeah, I used Escitalopram before jumping on Venlafaxine and Sertraline after its effects became contraproductive. I felt disordered and confused when taking these drugs, the effects were not what I had formerly anticipated. My friend has been taking different antidepressants for more than 11 years without any significant (subjective) improvement. 

However, Venlafaxine (Effexor) made wonders, especially during the first year of its use (300mg daily). Hypomania, disinhibition, loss of fear and anxiety, carelessness, activation, heightened sexual arousal, etc. were all the positive symptoms.

Bad news is it didn't last for more than 1 - 1.5 year. The additional prptracted symptoms were hell, but for someone who doesn't care about what is going to be expected within the longer time frames, this drug is worth testing.

The fix isn't lowering inhibition. It's figuring out how to interact with others in a socially acceptable way. No drug is going to teach you 20 years of social interaction in an hour.

I tried explaining to my doc how I'm so fucking nervous that I have to leave the gym if someone else comes in. I legit have to be there almost alone. He just didn't think that was a problem and that I just needed to "feel more confident". Jesus christ he wouldn't even do a proper blood test (hormonal screening), just thyroid function and a couple of other things
