Becasue it can mess up your facial proportions. 

If this guy was to get a buzz cut he would look comical with his tall square forehead. It would overpower his lower third. :lol: 

Some blockheads look a lot better with a buzzcut and those are usually the masculine blockheads with great power thirds.
