A report from the BBC
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-33682547
Why do Americans not take their holiday time?

It's well known that people in the United States on average don't receive as much holiday time as their European counterparts. Studies show 25% of Americans do not receive any paid leave at all, and those who do rank behind their European counterparts.
But what may be surprising is that US workers are also less likely to use the holiday time they do receive.
This year four in 10 Americans do not intend to take all of their holiday time, partly in fear of losing their job or because it isn't encouraged by their employer.
Just LoL
Just keep believing in the dat "American Dream (TM)" and all it's tenets to keep you chasing that ever smaller dangling carrot
1) Free Healthcare is "Socialism" and that is ALWAYS bad, no matter what.
2)Work Hard - One day you will be Donald Trump
3) The rich are clever, innovative, wealth creators, special people who deserve to be rich
4) We all are have an equal chance of succeeding, you just have to "work hard"
5) Don't tax "wealth creators", besides the wealth "trickles down" - LOL
6) You want government help because you're a weak loser, winners don't need government welfare, pull your socks up son.
7) but..but..but..we don't have money for basic welfare, we're broke - it's time to be responsible.
8) Hard work pay's off, Affirmative Action is totally wrong - I believe in a complete meritocracy - the creme rises to the top, it's about merit you see, we believe in the best man/woman for the job.
