A report from the BBC

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-33682547

Why do Americans not take their holiday time?

It's well known that people in the United States on average don't receive as much holiday time as their European counterparts. Studies show 25% of Americans do not receive any paid leave at all, and those who do rank behind their European counterparts.
But what may be surprising is that US workers are also less likely to use the holiday time they do receive.
This year four in 10 Americans do not intend to take all of their holiday time, partly in fear of losing their job or because it isn't encouraged by their employer.

Just LoL

Just keep believing in the dat "American Dream (TM)" and all it's tenets to keep you chasing that ever smaller dangling carrot

1) Free Healthcare is "Socialism" and that is ALWAYS bad, no matter what.

2)Work Hard - One day you will be Donald Trump

3) The rich are clever, innovative, wealth creators, special people who deserve to be rich

4) We all are have an equal chance of succeeding, you just have to "work hard"

5) Don't tax "wealth creators", besides the wealth "trickles down" - LOL

6) You want government help because you're a weak loser, winners don't need government welfare, pull your socks up son.

7) but..but..but..we don't have money for basic welfare, we're broke - it's time to be responsible.

8) Hard work pay's off, Affirmative Action is totally wrong - I believe in a complete meritocracy - the creme rises to the top,  it's about merit you see,  we believe in the best man/woman for the job.

Just LOL at americans. That's what they call liberty, having no rights as a worker, having to pay shitloads of money for medical care and and getting fucked by big coroprations. Liberterians are fucking idiots , i get chills when hear they call to abolish the requirements for min wage.

you being fat is the result of working so hard

spending too much time in the office, and stress eating fast food

not having enough time to cook food, and eating microwavable dinners

too tried from work to go to the gym

cortisol and estrogen through the roof

Not everyone works in an office.though and it doesn't explain why people like the Japanese are so skinny and they are the definition of workcelling from teenage life in school all the way to adulthood. Americans atleast still party.  We are fat because too many Americans are ran by technology. We rather play video games than sport, we rather tweet all our life experiences than actually living through them, we rather drive to the McDonalds down the block then walk or ride a bike to it.

The problem isn't capitalism, it's overreaching government and cronyism.

A lot of our problems would be solved by a free market.

There is no such thing as a "free market".

It's an abstract concept that lives in the heads of mathematicians, Austrian economists, and US style Ron Paul type libertarians

What is a typical holiday entitlement for US workcels? In the UK it tends to be 28 days minimum (20 provided + 8 bank holidays).

Going with the private insurance model is a death sentence.   For certain careers, especially any field in which you can make a ton as a 1099 employee,  they use PTO and health insurance as an incentive to really drive down W2 employee salary.

We all have to vote for motherfucking Bernie Sanders.

LOL at working 365 days a year like US cels do, if you are going to be a worker bee atleast do it in Europe where you get tons of days off.

I think their taxes are quite a bit higher in Europe,  but hey,  at least they don't have to pay for insurance and get great PTO.  On top of that,  fifty percent of our taxes in the USA go towards "defense"  spending.

Taxes are probably higher in Europe. However it's hard to say how much by, it's always a give and take, governments tend to  lower basic tax rates which looks good in the headlines but they increase certain rates, to make up for it.

I'm not a socialist but I can't understand why so many (men) are so right-wing economically, especially  in the manosphere. I mean unless these guys are millionaires (which they aren't)  they won't benefit from any of these policies like getting rid of /lowering the minimum wage. For some reason these  fools think that screwing a guy busting his ass at McDonalds out of a few extra $ a day will help them to becoming the next Zuckerberg. I think it's  all part of the same "tough guy" act, they think it's "manly" to work like a dog, just like it's "manly" to do a 1000 approaches to bed a 4/10 drama queen.

Sanders is saying some interesting things, but the media won't give him a fair shake, when it comes down to it they are going to say he's too old or make out like he's a communist, this happens to anyone who suggests any policy that benefits the vast majority of Americans.

I am also a US workcel with 4 weeks of banked vacation.  I have been working since 13.  My Mom and Dad never missed any work either.  Personally I would probably get severely depressed and feel worthless as a neet.

Look at all the socialism in Europe. Hypergamy is higher than ever and they have a crippled economy on the verge of economic meltdown.

Look at the socialism in Venezuela. Life is so good there compared to here in the US, am i right?

Americans are very masochistic, explains why the majority of them are cuckolds and let women step all over them.

They're literally brainwashed into believing that if they don't work themselves to death, then they'll be seen as a failure and society will crumble. And the CEOs are laughing all the way to the bank while doing jack shit, getting his assistants to do all the dirty work.

Anybody else interested in jumping ship and becoming an expat? I've thought about it a bit.   I don't want to have a family here,  this place is a disaster.   Imagine having to pay thousands upon thousands to pay for your kid to go to college when Europeans generally get the state to pay.

I have considered it.  What are some good English speaking countries besides the UK?
