RIP?

Get my front teeth elongated or not?

How much teeth do you show when you open your mouth, but rest your lips?

do you suffer from short face syndrom?
Probably.
then your problem is a vertical deficiency of your maxilla. lefort 1 or ccw-maxillomandibular advancement will save you

edit: you probably overreact here a bit though it isnt that a big of a deal. just of you have an incomplete incisor display on smile smile its time to take action

It's just such an easy and cheap fix. Yes or no? With the goal of looksmaxing, should one get it?

Surgery is risky.
But probably worth it:

The idea of having permanent mental implants in your face and bones is not good.

I always thought that was a deformity too many teeth showing at rest look bad and make you look dumb. I think it's a good trait for women but not for men

vs

Too many is of course bad, but not at all is perhaps even worse. Old people don't show teeth, so it can make people think you are not young.

^^ If you have genuine SFS like i do then it makes your cheeks look fat and your face lacks definition even at low bf% I have good zygos and cheekbones but they are covered unless im skeletal. As SFS develops the midface becomes short as well, so your face just isnt proportioned properly and the soft tissues become redundant, completely ruins aesthetics.

Everyone should show some upper tooth when talking
So how do you cope? Getting the surgery? I haven't even been offered that.

I don't really cope.. But somehow can still get dates so.. I was never offered it, I had to seek out help, finally a dentist referred me to a prolific maxfac who 'diagnosed' me. Dentists and orthos won't help for shit mainly
did you had finally double jaw surgery then?

I have been told to accept it because it's because of genes.
I have relatively small teeth too, so I can at least correct the vertical deficiency with adding more teeth.

It's funny that you post Jimmy Kimmel, because he is the guy my smile has actually been compared with.

My lowerd 3rd is short when I clench my teeth together, but when my lips are just slightly touching it's the same height as middle 3rd (but then I have like 1 cm between my upper and lower molars which feels a little edentulous). Upper 3rd sucks, but that's a matter of hairline optimizing and a totally different subject (I'm dealing with that soon).
