LOL @ not Vitamin C maxing to get rid of a bloated face (in tandem with having 8~9% body fat or lower)

I'm not sure how safe this is on the long run, a lot of controversy about megadoses of Vitamin C and oxalic acid formation (which puts you at higher risk for kidney stones). But megadoses probably refers to WAY more than what I'm taking right now; according to Mayo Clinic 2000 mg is the upper limit, but I know a mentally unstable woman who has been taking 9000 mg daily for years and she seems to be getting on fine. People will react different to such high doses, but 1500 mg should be safe for just about anyone I think.

Edit: GET VITAMIN C FROM FOODS, NOT SUPPLEMENTS! Do the math; it's easy.  :smile:

what is your body weight? also do you drink a lot of water every day? As i understand vit-c is water soluble unlike vit-d

I get my Vitamin C from food: mostly from kale, guavas, and a lot of oranges. I did the calculations (takes time), but I'm getting around 1500 mg per day.

You mean body fat percentage? It's close to 10% right now, 159 lbs at 6'2 1/2", I don't have as much muscle mass as I used to. Keep that in mind.

I've read bad things about ascorbic acid before, so if you do plan on supplementing with vitamin C, make sure it comes from an actual plant/fruit, like acerola. Make sure there isn't added ascorbic acid.

I get mine from food only. I only supplement that which is nigh-impossible to get where I live, e.g. Vitamin D3. No sun exposure at all.

legit, im gonna get a nutri bullet and blend up a bunch of high vit c foods so i don't have to spend 30mins eating when i can just drink it in a few seconds

Have been taking 1000mg Vitamin C a day, but I still have somewhat full cheeks. (11% bodyfat)
But my skin gets a nice glow and all impurities get cleared out
MSM stops the inflammation so I haven't had acne for almost a year..
