Hello people,
So these past few months (and over the last year tbh), I've been watching a lot of Skateboardng-related content from Movies and Documentaries on Skater-Culture, to Skating Tricks Videos to Skating-Realm Fashion to World Record Videos.
Added to this, There's this new HBO show called "Betty" about girls who skate (they're Betties except for this one chick) but anyways, that and the skating-relating posts that have been popping up on this forum has kinda fueled my thirst to actually skate.

Probably the worst place to ask this, but How do I get started with Skating, and What skateboard or things would you Skateboardcels recommend?
Any kind of tip would be appreciated.

skateboarding is no joke, its seriously difficult and if you arent willing practice at least an hour a day for a few years you wont be good, fuck i used to practice about 20 hours a week

expensive gear really doesnt matter in skating, its nice to have good gear but it makes almost no difference, most of it just feels nice on your feet and looks good

get a cheap complete setup to start with, shoe glue aswell because you will be tearing through a pair every 2 months without it

also, no girls skate irl, would you really choose a skatepark to go to to meet women where the are 30 guys and maybe 2 girls lol?

Do you know what’s attractive about the skating culture...it’s the social circle. Skating alone just makes you looks sad.

Ok I'll see where I can find skateparks in my city and go talk to people and just mingle with thme

Well depends.

Id say go to a local skate shop and get the cheapest board available and practice with that.

Customization balls, and bearings, performance Etc your nowhere near good enough to worry about any of that Right now.

just practice on your local street or backyard and learn the basics, ollies, riding around without stopping and falling handling higher speeds, learning to fall properly to minimize injuries etc, basic tricks and after that then go to a skate park and practice there.

the whole skateboard community is fun and inviting especially if you can find a group to stick with.

HERE'S A LITTLE BIT OF CHAD ADVICE FOR YOU HELPLESS INCELS.

SKATEBOARDING HAS NOT BEEN COOL FOR A LONG ASS WHILE, NOR HAS BMX BIKING (LOL).

THE ONE SPORT OF THAT CLASS WOMEN SEEM TO THINK IS, DARE I SAY, COOL, IS ROLLER BLADING. WOMEN THINK ROLLER BLADING IS COOL. I HAVE HAD MANY POSTIVE RECEPTIONS TO MY ROLLER BLADING.
