it doesnt even bother me to run a mile at sub 8 minute pace

after i stop running im immediately breathing normally and could be in a fist fight without issues

during the run i intentionally breath in a pattern methodically
i believe this helps tremendously

breathe in with nose
breathe out with mouth

repeatedly methodically deeply way before your body is taxed from the very onset of exercise
this prob saturates your muscles with oxygen way before it needs it

if you start breathing heavy when youre working hard youre already in oxygen debt and catching up

thats what i was taught and thats what i do

Well, cool, I guess, but an 8 minute mile isn't very impressive. I ran a marathon at 8 minute per mile pace, so....twenty-six 8 minute miles in a row without being out of breath.
