I would like to get stronger masseters. Is the jawcerciser a worthy product? I hear stronger masseters will lengthen the ramus.

Interesting, I found this:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20930353
From the abstract:
There was a statistically significant difference in muscle thickness between subjects of different skeletal patterns. Significant positive correlation between masseter muscle thickness and posterior total face height, jarabak ratio, ramus height, mandibular length and significant negative correlations with mandibular plane angle, gonial angle and PP-MP angle were observed.
As for the myofunctional device, I'm buying it now just to test it out... but I don't see why it would be superior in any way to chewing mastic gum

Check out these articles about muscle tone in the masseter. The sole cause of a long face is the weak massters, and strengthening them will definitely make you better looking because it will drive the midface forwards.

It's interesting to know that the zygomatic bones will expand in size from higher stress chewing in order to support the force. I've ordered the product, I'll be using it throughout the entire summer chewing in a myofibrilliar muscle building manner.IntenseSuffering said:LordSUPER said:Check out these articles about muscle tone in the masseter. I've read all those submissions from him before but I wouldn't disagree with that statement. Only time will tell.
I'm very interested in the "maxilla method" that is being talked about around there.

I think it's important to increase your baseline bite force as well as this is also directly related to ramus length.
Can you aware me on the bolded statement please?
