Increasing eye distance - the holy grail

As far as I know, the only procedure that can do this would be an orbital box osteopathy, which can legimately increase the distance between your eyes, but, as you might imagine from this picture, is very invasive.

I believe they have to actually lift your brain out of your skull and fix it there while they work to move your eyes.

Scary stuff aside I imagine it isn't terribly risky. I mean, brain surgery goes on all the time now. They perform it in people with deformities so, it isn't so risky that no amount of bad looks forgoes performing it.

Does anyone know of any person without deformity having this done for aesthetic reasons, or have any information on how it went?

The only other procudures that would be helpful would be disguising ones -lessening the width of your nose bridge so as to give an impression of greater width between your eyes, or perhaps mascara/makeup emphasising the outer corners of your eyes.

Absolutely insane. No reputable surgeon would ever do this. My eyes are too close together. But that is not something that can be reasonably changed.

His eyes are too close together, you are right, he is an extreme example of it. But, his bigger problem is that he has eyelid ptosis. His looks goofy in the above pic primarily because his eyes are half open and they appear small. In the below pic his eyes are wide open and he looks much better. I would not be surprised if he was making a conscious effort to max how open his eyes were in the below picture. I don't think eyes being too close together is as big deal for men as it is for women.

This is some hard core stuff. I didn't know about this procedure before reading this thread. Glad I learned about it.

To what extent would increasing the distance between your eyes be aesthetic? Obviously close set eyes would be improved with width, but I think there is disagreement over whether widening normal set eyes would have a positive effect.

Widening normal set eyes would be extremely stupid. Whats more important is augmenting the brow ridge and the orbital rims.

ugh just do it the natural way. bone remodels. if you widen your palate, mainly the intermolar distance, your enter skull will grow horizontally to compensate for the change of pressure point on biting, clencing, chewing, mewing, etc.

I have an inter pupillary distance of 52mm, literally .5 mm away from hypotilerism diagnosis. I have a craniofacial surgeon who could preform and orbital box osteotomy to widen my eyes and he says it is very low risk and the healing process is not too bad. Any aesthetic experts/surgery experts have any advice or know anything about this procedure?
i scheduled a consult with the specialist and he was very nonchalant about this whole thing. saying that it was not a high risk procedure and that the risks were slim to none. i practice yoga and asked him if id ever be able to stand on my head again and he said i could probably 3 months post-op. the only thing he said was that its not a procedure you have done without telling your family (concerning?). he is an older surgeon who is world renowned for his work, specifically on babies with cleft palates. but he is known to have a huge ego too.
