When I smile as much as I can, i seem to have a deep bite. It is not that bad because when I close my teeth, it doesn't overlap too much, however it still makes my maxilla too long which makes my jaw angle more steeper and my face more long than it should be.

Apparently orthodontic treatment damages faces making them longer (source: claimingpower Article named: Braces damage faces? Why all orthodontic treatments suck), therefore I am thinking that the only correct way would be orthotropics or mewing?

Orthotropics doesn't work as an adult when bones have fused.

You will need jaw surgery to correct it if it's severe enough.

Which surgery in particular corrects deep bite and shortens the face
I still dont want to do that because orthotropics has a solution
and my malocclusion is very mild so it will easily correct
