You can do a bit of both, nobody is holding a gun to your head saying you can only do one or the other

Overall though id say most people definitely need some weighted resistance to trigger their body to adapt

Also hormones + genetics largely determine how your body visually looks

if u are not balding get on creatine asap. your muscles will definately look bigger even though its mostly water but who cares and face bloat is bullshit, i ve been taking creatine for a month and dont have any facial bloat

doing just calisthenics will greatly limit your potential

weights 3x per week + calisthenics + eat like a man will put on some muscle mass provided you know what you're doing

Calisthenics is good for a beginner but eventually you 'll need to lift to progress and get bigger/stronger.
