A few months after I first started meditating, someone told me that I should really try to go on a retreat. So, I went. On the retreat, I had to do 9 hours of meditation and visualisation every day. On the third day, something happened to me, which wasn`t like anything else that I have experienced in my life before. I suddenly felt that my mind had become silent. I had no thoughts in me, only blissful presence. I looked around me, and I saw other people on the retreat going about their business. As I looked at them, I felt unconditional love towards them and it seemed like no negativity existed in the world; that everything was perfect and purposeful. This feeling is not something that I can explain. It doesn`t compare to physical or emotional or any kind of mental love  it was something infinitely powerful and integrative.
I couldn`t make sense of loving these strangers in this inexpressible way. As I sat there just observing myself and them, I realised something. It wasn`t really me who was doing the `loving`. Instead, love was just there, preexisting… and somehow I managed to go beyond my ordinary thinking mind! Beyond that, there was this unconditionally existing love, to which everyone and everything is connected…I was in this specific state for half an hour and it took three weeks until it completely wore off. It has changed my life. I began researching consciousness, which led me through a life of study, teaching, meditation and lucid dreaming.
The power of our mind

So this is an interesting lesson in the sense that here we will be dealing with forces that are variable in nature and how we can find work done by this variable force when it displaces a mass. We use differential calculus and integral calculus to establish this formula of physics

What is average power and instantaneous power  The formula for work done = dot product of force and displacement. However, this assumes a constant force F on a particle. What then is work done by a variable force. Watch this lesson to understand how integral calculus can help us find the work done when the force acting in a particle is variable. You may like to draw comparison with an earlier physics lesson on velocity and instantaneous velocity

This is a followon course to QC101. It helps you gain an intuitive and qualitative understanding of basic quantum physics to help you understand more advanced quantum computing courses.
Unlike the earlier QC101 course, this course has very little Math. The aim is to help you understand qualitatively how the physics of quantum mechanics works.
Why do you need a Qualitative Understanding of Quantum Physics?
The Math of quantum physics is different, but it is not complicated. In many ways it is simpler than the engineering calculus that many of you studied in college. Although quantum math is simple, its mathematical simplicity hides many strange, yet important behaviors.
For instance, the mathematical representation of a Bell State is very simple. But the physical implications of a Bell State are weird. A photon has an angle of polarization, a property that is like a direction. But strangely, photons that are entangled in the Bell State behave as though they have no preferred angle or direction.
An intuitive appreciation of such weird behavior will be useful when I present more advanced topics on quantum algorithms in later courses.
To help you understand quantum physics qualitatively, I have provided simulators written in Java. Running the simulators and studying the Java sourcecode will help you gain a qualitative understanding that goes beyond merely knowing how to do the Math.
How can you get the most from this course?
Unlike the earlier QC101, this course is light on Math. The primary aim of this course is to ensure that you are completely comfortable with the implications of superposition and entanglement. I spend a lot of time reinforcing basic concepts that were already introduced in QC101. Later in the course, I highlight some weird implications of entanglement.
The content is not challenging. But don't stop with viewing the videos. To get the most from this course, I encourage you to run my simulators with your own virtual experiments.
