Does decrease in maxillary height translate to decrease in soft tissue?

I have ideal tooth show, no gummy smile.

Lets say that i get CCW rotation with 2mm impaction (just a random example, idk if thats what i need), would i need to shorten my philtrum 2mm as well to keep the same amount of tooth show that i had before the surgery?

I guess it also depends on how much advancement i get, right?

What you said about the advancement is spot on. In the case if a small impaction like you mentioned, the advancement will likely keep everything “equal”

But in general soft tissue surgery and aesthetic rhinoplasty should be considered after Orthognathic surgery.

Is there any way to know what amount of impaction you need to achieve a certain decrease of the gonial angle?

For example, if i want to decrease my gonial angle by X angles with CCW rotation, whats the amount of impaction i should get? Is possible to know/estimate it?
